I can only speak for the Navies (US and Canada), but Canada has a fine bluewater Navy that is every but as capable as our own. They don’t have the size or striking power we have (which is referred to as “force projection”) but as far as capabilities the Canadian Navy is quite advanced and equal to the task as any other bluewater Navy. I’ve been involved with several operations with the Canadian Navy and found our brothers and sisters to the North to be very professional, accommodating, and quite committed to the task at hand. I would hate like hell to have to fight them, let’s put it that way.

Not sure about the training but I would imagine its good- a mix between US and British style training. The US military budget is bigger (the biggest in the world) and bigger in size . Heck the US Army itself has more personnel than all of Canada’s Armed Forces.

Its more like comparing a house cat to a Bengal tiger. (the tiger being the US military) Even people in the Canadian military would say so.
