Hey there,
I’m fifteen years old and 8 and a half stone. I know you may think I’m being silly about wanting to lose weight, because I am a healthy weight, but I just want to lose a bit of fat so that my abs will show through, as I have solid muscle on my stomach where I work out everyday. I have no choice over what meals I eat at home, but if I have say pizza and chips for example, I’d chuck out the pizza and just have the chips for at least something to eat. Anyway, if I eat a cereal or oatmeal in the morning, a muesli bar or yoghurt for my mid break at school, a hot cross bun for lunch and a dinner high in carbs maybe but low in fat and salt, will I lose weight by walking for 2 hours everyday, doing loads of squats and lunges, dancing and strength training? I mainly want to lose fat on my belly and thighs by the way. Many thanks:)

Hi Hannah,
If you are wanting to get the muscles to come through trying to lose weight might not be the best thing! If you have a bit of extra size it is easier to convert that to muscle than starting from scratch.
If you are just looking to get ripped abs you will need to focus on weight training and core training rather than aerobic training.
Your diet seems to be ok, just remember to try to eat things high in protein and try to eat 6 small meals rather than three big meals a day this will constantly feed the muscles and keep your metabolism running at optimum levels.
Its certainly not a fatty diet, and if you do work out every day, you will definitely lose some weight :]
