I Want To Know All Of What A Dog Handler Does? Do They Train? How Much They Make? Whom Pays For The Trip Etc.”?
How do I go about doing this? Thanks. I once knew a groomer who then became a handler and trainer. I never asked how she went about it. I know… she did not have formal schooling.
How Do You Train A Cockatiel To Be Quiet?
I have a female cockatiel who used to occasionally have chirpy days when I had her at school, but wasn’t too noisy. Now that she’s been home with me during break, I can’t get her to be quiet. I’ve tried everything. I gave her new toys, treat, I gave her attention, then I tried just ignoring it. I thought maybe it was separation anxiety, since she loves me and my dad and gets extra loud if either of us leave the room, but it continues when we’re around her. I’m afraid of her annoying my roommate, plus I’m not sure I can take much more chirping. How can I train her to be more quiet?
Not Happy With My Career Choice…. Advice Is Welcome.?
Hi, I’m 25, have a 3-month old daughter, a wife, two horses, two dogs and a cat to feed and I have a house payment along with other things. The current job I have pays very well (in my opinion), I made well over 100k in 2011, but that’s with a lot of over time. I will probably make around 80-90k in 2012 because I’m not planning on taking much (if any) over time.
The job pays for bills and the pets I’ve mentioned above, especially horses, which need to be taken care of and fed. My wife is not working and I don’t want her to work, because we feel that at least one parent has to be with the child at home until they’re ready to go to school. I have 30k in debt (not counting the 280k in mortgage) and most of it will be paid off by next Christmas. Most people would be happy with a 100k job, excellent healthcare benefits and an amazing retirement, right? Especially with no college degree. But I just hate my job… as much as I try to convince myself that I can or should love.. or even like… or even tolerate my job, I get very depressed that for the next 25 years (until retirement) I will have to do this…. I got into this field thinking that I will love it, and I enjoyed it the first 6 months. After 6 months, I began questioning my choice. I just completed my second year on the job in December and things are not getting any better… I’m getting more depressed about my choice. My schedule is horrible (I work 12.5 hours a day), plus 2-3 hours of commute every day. I have 3-4 days off a week, but it takes 1-2 days to recover from being exhausted.
I was always happy when I met my wife… now I snap easily and can rarely control it, even when I see it before it comes. Definitely do not want my daughter to have a father that has an uncontrollable short temper. I get worse the closer I get to my work week. The day before I can’t even get any rest, thinking of how much I hate of going to work the next day.
I always loved computer and graphic design. I actually have some pretty good personal/hobby experience with those two fields and find myself to be a pretty advance user. I always enjoyed working (as a hobby) in those two fields, so I’m thinking of getting a degree in one of them. I have 2 years left of paid education from my GI bill (I used up the other 1 year on my current job’s training)… GI pays for 36 months, right? Forgot….
So, I’m am not sure what field to get into. Should I just get an associates in science (IT) in a community college and then transfer into a specific field in a 4 year college?
Another thing is that getting a degree will take several years (even with a few credits I have while taking college in the military)…. and I don’t know how much longer I can take of my current job.
I feel like I’m a whiner or something… 100k job, great benefits, great retirement and I’m not satisfied… but that’s the way it is.
So, I’m not sure what to do at all… any suggestions?

Invisible Fence For Dogs Question & Thoughts?
I’m sick and tired of my dog running away. He is like a Houdini dog. He can get out of his collar and harness. So were thinking about getting an invisible fence cause a real fence is kinda pricey for our yard (I got an estimate) i have a few questions
1. Do they work
2. if my dog runs out of the fence how long will it shock him for (I’m worried it will shock him to death)
3. Do you need to train them to the fence
4. how bad is the shock?

How Can I Convince My Parents To Allow Me To Own An Exotic Pet? 10 Points!?
OK so i have recently waned a pet emu and if i think realistically i have no chance of getting one although they are cheap. So i have 2 questions one is at the top, and the other is “what exotic pet should i get” i want something that is large, can free-roam, can be potty trained, and costs under 500$ (not including supplies and stuff) *also legal in northeast ohio* now, back to the first question, i am very responsible i get straight A’s and do chores around the house without being asked. for some reason they still wont let me have one. it has gotten to the point where they either don’t listen to me or they tell me to stop talking about it and focus on something else. my dad is no help, when ever i ask him he just says”Adda yadda i can’t here you” while im speaking so my mom is my only hope. she is pretty nice so but she says the animals i want are not compatible with our lifestyle because we have 2 dogs and a bird
Removal Of Tonsils In Adults?
Hey there,
I’m 16, 17 in 2 days. Now i have a huge issue with tonsillitis. My glands swell up and my throat and tongue go completely white. I’ve had this since a younger age ( 11 or 12, possible 13 ) and it wasn’t to bad until i reach 15 when every time i got it i would spend days crying due to severe pain and throbbing. My last time was the worst, i woke up coughing and gasping for air because my throat was so swollen and the infection makes me sick as well so my nose clogs up. I couldn’t open my mouth for the doctors and the pills i was prescribed were to be shoved down my throat ( like a dog ), past the swelling because i couldn’t eat or drink. The occurrences are becoming more common causing me to take weeks of school for recovery, example, a month ago i got this infection took the antibiotics and was fine, it came back 3 weeks later.
So to make everything clear to help you guys out on whether you believe i should or shouldn’t get my tonsils removed ill make a list of my symptoms and recurrences.
- unable to sleep
- extreme swelling causing difficult breathing, eating and drink ( i lost 5 kilos in 3 days, i’m 170cm tall and weighted 55kilos, that dropped me to 52. )
- temperatures ranging to dangerously high levels.
- sick all the time from immune system constantly fighting of infection.
- can’t be taking time of this year due to the beginning to year 12.
- am becoming immune to the antibiotics.
- get most side effects from antibiotics, including bloating, irregular skin and mouth coloring, nausea, vomiting, irregular bleeding, it stops my birth control, diarrhea ect.
Other factors people may ask are about my lifestyle, i am in trying to become a police officer. I don’t drink, smoke or do drugs, i train 3-4 hours a day and live on a fruit, vegetable and fish diet. I drink 6-8 liters of water a day and am fairly fit.
I am fully aware of the risks from surgery but am ready to take whatever life’s throws at me after it, I’ve read the goods and the bad’s and understand the 3% chance of bleeding out. Ill just sleep on my belly so i know i will wake up. I need to be sure that in telling a doctor this i am fully entitled to get them removed because at the moment they are hesitant due to my age. Please leave your opinion below and if you have any further information it would be much appreciated. Thank you!
What Can I Do About Acting?
I am highly devoted to becoming an actor but I always find myself slowing the process down. I am 15 years old. When I get my cast off in the next three weeks, What can I do to actually start? I know for sure I am not become a famous person over night, I am very aware that might not even happen, but that is not why I want to become an actor. I took theatre last year in high school and did fairly well, always participating in nearly every classmates play. There are no outside theatre classes so high school is where I get most of my training. I love acting, the reason why I am doing it is because I know it is a job I can do for the rest of my life. My mom is willing to put me in stunt classes/acting lessons in LA. I live one hour away from Hollywood LA. When I get my cast off, what can I do to get a head start in this career?
