training is good thing for your life

My name is Eragon and I am being trained to fight a giant army. I have to fight it alone, and I’m not sure I can do it. Friendly advice?

I am a kid, and I have a huge greyhound-mix who I love but who also weighs 15 pounds more than me. I take him on a mile long walk every day, and he is kind of dumb, no offense . Hes a rescue and very hard to train and is always going after cats or squirrels or people. How do I make him stop or even pull me less? And no methods that will in anyway hurt/irritate him, like a high pitched noise or whatever. Thanks

it might sound stupid that it’s only 3 miles and I shouldn’t have to train for it, but I’m not the best runner… Im a 14 year old girl. Every other week we run 1 mile in gym class and my time is usually about 8:30 minutes. But I’ve never ran more than one mile at a time before. I’m going to be running this event with my older (very fit) sisters and their also very fit friends. It’s more of a fun race and you don’t have to run the whole thing, but I want to be able to run it just so I don’t hold them back and don’t.. Well, die. So now I’m just asking, how should I train for it? It’s on august 5. So I have a little less than 3 months. I’m pretty good at committing to a workout, but what’s the most effective, healthy way to push myself to become this better runner I want to be?

I’m thinking of buying this dog, male, good bloodline, and would like to know a couple things..
First, are they good family dogs? I plan to go for a jog with him around the neighborhood each day, feed him veterinarian suggested dog food, and take him for a long walk in the afternoon. Will he be overly protective? I’m not looking for a guard dog, I’m able to protect myself. And finally, what training should I give him, would obedience be enough?

I’m having to go on a trip tomorrow, but the weather is bad where i have to go at the moment, and threatens to hit the area I have to go through. I need to know what kind of storm can produce tornadoes that strong, how strong they are, and what kind of safety precautions to take when traveling.

Okay I need help thinking of a title for this fanfic story I’m writing.
It’s about Inuyasha and Kagome’s twin daughters, Sayuri and Madoka. They are demon slayers trained by Sango. One day they are walking in the forest of Inuyasha and they fall in the well when Koga’s son Kailab (Who has a HUGE crush on Sayuri). accidently scares the sister’s and they fall in the Magic Well. When they get out they are not in they’er world anymore… But in Edward’s and Alphonse’s world! After they meet everyone Sayuri and Madoka learn that they have alchemy and become state alchemists.Then they decide help Edward and Alphonse on there quest.
So what do you think? There is more to the story then you think! Please send me a title if you thought of one? I will give you credit and mention you in my Author note!

I love cats. What’s not to love about them? They’re the cleanest animals on Earth. They’re potty trained. They shower you with love and attention, and why need friends when you can have your pet cat? What’s so bad about cats that a person can hate about them?

What do you think of this man vs world struggle concept?
Since it’s a novel I’m working on, I’ll keep the plot description short, sweet, and to the point.
We follow two characters in an economically and socially unstable city, and $hit hits the fan, plunging the city into chaos.
Now, to the character in question.
His name, is Connor. He’s a single 19 year old, who’s best friends with another 19 year old, a woman (Laine) who is sort of an ex-socialite (her parents cut her off) and in a relationship. Connor is withdrawn socially, while Laine is quite sociable (If you study MBTI personality types, Connor fits the INFJ trait, while Laine may possibly fit the ENTP category. If these acronyms appear as gibberish to you, don’t worry. They’re not that important to the question).
Connor and Laine have contrasting personalities, in that Connor is deep in thought and often quiet, while Laine is more of a talker, and doesn’t exactly focus on the big picture.
Connor serves a good purpose to Laine; as sort of a personal therapist and a diary, pretty much. She tells him everything troubling her, and he tries to help her.
What she doesn’t know is that he is in love with her (and he can hide it extremely well). He’s pretty much in her friend zone; close, but with no sex appeal to her, like a favorite lamp perhaps.
As time goes by in the novel, the city falls into chaos (countless things lead to it in a realistic way). Laine and her boyfriend get into an argument, he ditches her to smoke with his friends, and Connor shows up and decides to comfort her.
Now, onto the guy’s personal struggle.
Connor struggles with several things about himself, and with the girl he loves.
I came up with a list of 7 struggles, sort of in order.
1. Connor’s own personality makes him struggle with the fear of not being loved. Despite his age of 19, he still holds onto a bit of this immaturity. He wants Laine. He’s never put any effort into pursuing his dream because he doesn’t want to break his closest friendship; he always looks forward to being around this girl.
2. Laine’s boyfriend is an unnecessary competitor in Connor’s eyes. He is talented in sports, but lacked the self-control to stay on the team. He doesn’t appreciate Laine, but he is sexually appealing. In Connor’s eyes, he doesn’t deserve her.
3. Connor stayed in the city for Laine. He actually had an opportunity to leave, but he decided to wait for her to reach the evacuation center. Rioters stormed it before she could, and the soldiers abandoned the evacuation plan before Connor could get out. Since he’s pretty much stuck there, he decides to make finding Laine his top priority. Sort of expressing his loyalty; If he dies, he wants to die by her side.
5. The countless hordes of crazed individuals; both normal people stricken by the times, or the countless numbers of those infected with an Amygdala-destroying virus. Dog-eat-dog world. This forces Connor into violent confrontations which go against his own mental morality. He kills a few people driven insane by the virus in self defense. This has a tremendous impact on his psyche. This is where he starts to change.
6. The city is in chaos, even the cops have turned to protecting their own interests or using their training and weapons against the people they were sworn to protect. The law’s out the door, and it’s no secret. Connor has never had sex, but he really wants to change that before he dies. He killed people, and justified that. Now, a part of him looks at Laine no longer as a friend, and more as a sexual solution. He stares at her often, and begins to watch her as she sleeps. He becomes quieter, and more angry. Still, his will is strong enough to keep him from breaking her trust. His lust for her is at an all-time high thanks to the stress of the situation. So, naturally, he struggles with his morality, to keep from forcing himself on her (Read I Am Legend, you’ll get the point). It’s like an argument that “When the chips are down, these civilized people, they’ll eat each other…” but Connor struggles to stay risen above that. This is probably the most elaborate struggle.
7. Connor must ‘grow up’.

Overall, what is your opinion on these struggles? What can I change or explain better so that the story seems ‘authentic’ to you, and Connor still appears to be a realistic tragic hero?

I’m a 28 year woman with aspergers is who sexually attracted likes on 2 different men I barley know. The first man lives in Kingston Ontario and I live in Vancouver Canada. His name is Johnny is 35 years old and I’m 28. He says he wants to start a slow friendship. I meet him off of a singles website. He says he has an ex-girlfriend but he is a sweet single man who also has aspergers. I’ve only spoken to Johnny through e-mail for a week and I’ve never seen his picture. The other man whose name is Mesfin is 41 years old, from Ethopia, and I met him on the sky train last weekend.
Hi is possibly employed, possible religious, possibly dangerous, possibly a drug dealer and quite likely doing drugs as well. e is hot as hell and he said he liked me, but seems to be interested in only using me for sex. I’m using Mesfin for sex too. If I had a fling with him i would want it too be short term, I would see him with my friends that first few times who also has aspergers and is also sexually promiscuous. I would wear protection of course and use birth control. I might the Johnny in Ontario someday. So both men appeal to me in different ways. Please help!
