What Motivates You To Workout?
I have always hated working out but I really want to get into the best shape of my life this year. The only time I was actually motivated to work out was when I was in high school and I had weight training class. I guess the fact that we had competitions to see who had the biggest gains and the peer pressure of doing well are what motivated me during that time but I’m in college now and it’s easy for me to eat junk food and skip my workouts in favor of studying or working.
What advice can you give me?
Is This Dog Loyal? What About Yours?
The dog is actually my brothers but i trained, raised, and care for it so I am going to call it mine.
Whenever I go outside my dog is waitng by the door when I get home. If it is outside playing and other dogs are running around it will not play with them unless I am close enough it can play and still be with me. I was walking away the other day and my dog was outside loose she started to follow me and I said no stay she stoped in her tracks and did not move my mom came out and kept calling her to come inside and she just stood there watching me and did not go to my mom until I said go. I am homeschooled and she follows me around all day. If I get up and go down stais she follow even if I’m comming right back. A few weeks ago I was a few houses away from our house babysitting and my dog was at home. Someone forgot to cose the gate to the backyard and let my dog into it. I was over watching TV at the neighbors because the kids were asleep and I herd a bark outside the door. I opened it and my dog had followed my sent to their house and had been waiting outside the door for me
SOOOO loyal in my opinion what about yours? Is your dog loyal? What has it doen to prove it?
Right Dog For Me?????
I I am planning on getting an aussie puppy from a reputable breeder in the summer. I am going to be moving to a farm before I get the puppy and I want it to be able to herd sheep and maybe cattle. What do you think? The dog will also do agility and be a therapy dog. My brother has a mini aussie (I know it’s not a real breed) and I have trained her to do agility and be a certified therapy dog. I want a bigger dog though. So what do you think?
True Or False: To Catch Them Is My Real Test?
Dog Gets Aggressive When I Get Off The Couch?
My brother’s 3y/o Pomeranian is a hand full, mainly because he babys him and doesn’t train him or take him for walks, nor has he even neutered him.
Considering I only see the dog maybe once or twice a week, I’ve trained him pretty well; I stopped his bathroom problems, got him to walk on a leash very well including getting him to walk off leash without running away, I stopped his possession problems, and he listens to me very well. However, I have one problem with him…
When someone tries to leave the room after we’re all sitting down watching TV or something for a little while, he gets aggressive and flips out. It looks as though he is trying to get us not to leave the room, as if he’s not allowing us to leave or something. Sometimes it even looks like he’s scared of us when we get up off the couch to go do something. He’ll jump off the couch and attack your feet if you’re not paying attention, otherwise he’ll bark and growl at you until you go back to the couch or leave the house.
My brother lets the dog behave that way because he says, “Oh, it’s just separation anxiety. He doesn’t want you to leave.” So he’ll grab the dog up in his arms and comfort it until the person leaves or gets back on the couch.
I know what my brother is doing is wrong so I’ve tried a few things with the dog, including trying to snap him out of it and preventing him from even getting into that red-zone state, but he’ll just end up getting even more aggressive. The way how I handle it now is I’ll simply herd him into another room and close the door, like a “time-out” until he calms down.
He will only do this when other people are around. If it’s just me and the dog, he wont get aggressive at all and I’m free to do whatever I want. He’s a totally different dog when it’s just the two of us. But if anyone else is in the room, he’ll flip out the moment someone moves from the couch.
Any ideas or feedback will be much appreciated.
How Do I Get The New Puppy Home Safely And Make Him Feel Comfortable In His New Home?? (:?
Tomorrow afternoon we will be getting a new puppy. I already have two shelties and a corgi living inside but we have the room, enough love, the money, and the time for the puppy so don’t start by going off on me about how I don’t need another dog when you don’t even know me. The puppy is eight weeks old and will have to ride in the car for about an hour maybe a little more. 1.) how often should we stop to let him out for a potty break? 2.) should we hold him on the way home or crate him. 3.) should I let him eat and drink in the car? Now that those questions have been asked- what do I do to make him feel comfortable in these new surroundings? (in the house) I know to take him out as soon as we get home but should I crate him the first night or put him in his room that we made for all our dogs? Like I said my two shelties live in our house and they are my babies so they sleep in my bed with me and my sisters corgi sleeps with her. So what about poor puppy? Should I crate him in my room? I already have read three puppy books but I would like to know from you guys. I already know about the crate training and how the puppy needs to learn the basics. I’m in dog club and my dog coco has won state four times for Indiana. Thanks for looking. But please no rudeness.
Ps. The puppy is free the lady couldnt take care of him and was going to be taken to a shelter, and he is being fixed ASAP.
Thanks a lot and again PLEASE—- NO RUDE ANSWERS!! -Thanks-
German Shepard Puppy/dog!?!?
Okay…..So I’m in LOVE with German Shepards and I was wondering if they are to take care of because I would like to get one. I’ve never had a dog before but I’d be ready to make a commitment and train it right
I also have a meadium size backyard since I live in town but there Is a school right by house which I could take it to. So I was wondering if anyone has a German Shepard or has experience with one and could give me a little info about this dog

Can You Train A Redbone Coonhound Out Of It’s Hunting Instincts?
My mom wants to get a redbone coonhound puppy. (We found one being sold by a registered breeder. It is purebred.)
I live in town so there’s nothing for the dog to hunt, (except maybe my cats). We can still provide him with lots of exercise.
I’m just a little worried that he’ll attack my cats. Especially if they’re outside and running. (My cats are skittish and run a lot when outside.) The dog will be kept on a leash at all times unless indoors.
Would it be possible to train him in a way that he leaves the cats alone? Or at least doesn’t chase them?
He’ll grow up with the cats, since we’ll get the dog almost as soon as he’s old enough to leave his mother.
